Description
The material
Pink and purple mottling with pale cream patches, mixed rather than graded — the point of this string is that every bead is visibly different. At 8mm it is a light string despite the bead count.
What it is for
This one sells on looks. It wraps four times and reads as a bracelet stack rather than a religious object, which is why it is the piece most often bought by people who are not otherwise interested in malas. In lore purple stones sit with clarity and calm; make of that what you like.
Craftsman’s note
Mixed material is harder to buy than uniform material. Half of a purchased lot usually gets rejected for being too pale or too grey, and a string like this represents roughly twice its weight in bought stock.
Wearing and care
Wraps four times on a 6.5 to 7 inch wrist. Hard enough for daily wear. Wipe with a damp cloth; the pale patches show hand cream first.
